Universal, Legendary, and Blizzard Entertainment have released the second trailer for their upcoming video game adaptation, Warcraft. The highly anticipated film is directed by Duncan Jones and is based on the highly-loved video game World of Warcraft. Video game adaptations have had a very rough go, and many are counting on Jones’ fantastic epic to change the view of the genre. The first trailer made a pretty big statement, turning quite a few doubters into believers. It’s big, it’s visually stunning, it’s a hugely loved property, and this new trailer backs all that up and than some.
To kick off, I’ve got to say that the music choice was just great. I was into the trailer from the beginning, but when that musics kicked in I was having a damn good time watching this trailer go down. The visuals look even more up to date from the first trailer, groundbreaking type stuff. The story is very interesting, with Orcs going up against their own kind alongside the humans. And what can I really say about the action? It looks massive, intense, and just look like some damn good summer fun. I would probably be into this movie from seeing the footage anyway, but the fact that it’s from Duncan Jones (who’s behind both Moon and Source Code), it’s a game-changer. He’s one of the, not just good, but great up-and-coming director’s and I’m pumped to see him take on a property like Warcraft.
