The long-awaited first look at Sony and Seth Rogen’s R-rated animated comedy Sausage Party has arrived. The movie follows a sausage and his new friends journey through a supermarket as they try to get back to their aisles after falling out of a shopping cart. As I said above, it is an R-rated comedy and from what I’ve heard, it’s suppose to poke some fun at the animated greats of Disney/Pixar.

On paper, it’s a pretty great concept. You’re basically pulling everyone  from This Is the End and giving them characters to voice within an R-rated animated comedy world. And for the most part, This Is the End was loved by critics and fans alike. The movie is slated for an August release which means a trailer could be coming, especially since it’s suppose to have a “work-in-progress” cut showing at SXSW here pretty soon. Sausage Party is set to open on August 12th, 2016 and features the voices of Seth Rogen, Jonah Hill, James Franco, Kristen Wiig, Edward Norton, Bill Harder, Paul Rudd, Danny McBride, Nick Kroll, Craig Robinson, Michael Cera and Salma Hayek.
