Go Behind the Battle of ‘Captain America: Civil War’ with New Images

If you sit back and really think about it, we’ve virtually seen nothing of Captain America: Civil War, especially when you compare it to something like Batman v Superman. Unlike some of their more recent movies, Marvel has kept a very tight seal on their movie that centers around an impending showdown between their two biggest heroes, Captain America and Iron Man. While we have seen a full 56d4dde3223cftrailer and Super Bowl 50 spot, both featured footage that was very similar, with the latter only having one or two new (epic) shots. We’ve also gotten looks from Entertainment Weekly, Empire Magazine and Marvel, but nothing has been to revealing. But now with the film just over two months away, Marvel may finally be cracking open the vault that’s full of Civil War goodies.

Released by Marvel themselves, the following images take us behind-the-scenes of what’s a sure bet to be one epic face-off. We not only get official looks of those set photos that popped up online last year, but some cool bts images with directors Joe and Anthony Russo. And while the gallery finishes with that massive shot of Team Iron that we saw in the Super Bowl TV spot, the one that interests me the most is the one featuring Anthony Mackie’s Sam Wilson, Chris Evans’ Steve Rogers and Chadwick Boseman’ T’Challa.

Up to this point, we’ve been lead to believe that Tony Stark reaches out to T’Challa a.k.a. Black Panther when the split of the superhero community goes down. But from this image, I get the feeling that that’s not the case. From the trailers, we know this is the moment in the movie when the New Avengers and their actions are put to a halt with the Sokovia Accords. Could Black Panther already be a part of the New Avengers when this goes down? Does he then ally himself alongside Iron Man following the “international incident” that’s expected to open the film? We’ve expected him to have a decent size role in the film and it’s story from the get-go, but if this ends up being the case, this would solidify his role as a close third to only Cap and Stark, a role we’ve all hoped he’d have.

See the new images below. Don’t forget to scroll down to the comments and let us know what you think of them, as well as how excited you are for the film. Which side are you on? Who will win? Joe and Anthony Russo’s Captain America: Civil War hits theaters on May 6th, 2016 and stars Chris Evans, Robert Downey Jr., Scarlett Johansson, Sebastian Stan, Anthony Mackie, Paul Bettany, Jeremy Renner, Don Cheadle, Elizabeth Olsen, Paul Rudd, Chadwick Boseman, Emily VanCamp, Frank Grillo, William Hurt, and Martin Freeman.
