Hot off the heels of its big game TV spot, Paramount has unveiled the character posters for their upcoming sequel Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out of the Shadows. The posters see the half-shelled brothers standing atop some of New York’s tallest buildings, either embracing the true hero status or looking for a little base-jumping. Earth to Echo director Dave Green steps in to replace Jonathan Liebesman from the first, which explains why the sequel feels so friendly towards younger audiences thus far.
Out of the Shadows has all the main players returning, with a few fan-favorites in Bebop, Rocksteady and Krang making their debut. However, the most notable addition by far comes in the form of Casey Jones, who will be played by Arrow star Stephen Amell. As a huge fan of the show, Amell has become one of my favorite actors to watch. Everything we’ve seen from him so far looks like he’s going to absolutely kill the role of Jones, but I’m very interested to see how the long time fans of these characters react to him and the other characters from the lore.
Check out the new posters below, which give us some solid looks at what the turtles will be sporting come this summer. Dave Green’s Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out of the Shadows opens on June 3rd, 2016 and also stars Megan Fox, Will Arnett, Tyler Perry, Laura Linney, Brian Tee, Stephen Farrelly and Gary Anthony Williams, with Johnny Knoxville, Alan Ritchson, Noel Fisher and Jeremy Howard reprising their roles as the turtles.
