Clips: ‘Triple 9’, ‘Whiskey Tango Foxtrot’, ‘London Has Fallen’ & More

With the Spring movie season really kicking into high gear here in the next month or so, expect to see a ton of new footage from a number of new movies. That footage includes official clips, which have kind of become the second rotation after trailers in a marketing campaign in recent years, and below I’ve collected a handful of them for movies hitting theaters within the next month.

The new clips include John Hellcoat’s very exciting looking thriller Triple 9, the Afghanistan-set comedy Whiskey Tango Foxtrot starring Tina Fey and Margot Robbie, Gerard Butler’s action sequel London Has FallenGods of Egypt, and The Brothers Grimsby.

Triple 9

Release date: February 26th.

In TRIPLE 9, a crew of dirty cops is blackmailed by the Russian mob to execute a virtually impossible heist. The only way to pull it off is to manufacture a 999, police code for “officer down”. Their plan is turned upside down when the unsuspecting rookie they set up to die foils the attack, triggering a breakneck, action-packed finale filled with double-crosses, greed and revenge.

Whiskey Tango Foxtrot

Release date: March 4th.

After arriving in the Middle East region in 2002, a woman works as a journalist in Afghanistan and Pakistan.

London Has Fallen

Release date: March 4th.

After the British Prime Minister passes away, his funeral becomes a target of a terrorist organization to destroy some of the world’s most powerful leaders, devastate the British capital, and unleash a terrifying vision of the future. The only hope of stopping it rests on the shoulders of the President of the United States (Aaron Eckhart) and his formidable Secret Service head (Gerard Butler), and an English MI-6 agent (Charlotte Riley) who rightly trusts no one. Morgan Freeman also stars as the Vice President of the United States.

Gods of Egypt

Release date: February 26th.

The survival of mankind hangs in the balance as an unexpected mortal hero Bek [Brenton Thwaites] undertakes a thrilling journey to save the world and rescue his true love. In order to succeed, he must enlist the help of the powerful god Horus [Nikolaj Coster-Waldau] in an unlikely alliance against Set [Gerard Butler], the merciless god of darkness, who has usurped Egypt’s throne, plunging the once peaceful and prosperous empire into chaos and conflict. As their breathtaking battle against Set and his henchmen takes them into the afterlife and across the heavens, both god and mortal must pass tests of courage and sacrifice if they hope to prevail in the epic final confrontation.

The Brothers Grimsby

Release date: March 11th.

MI6’s top assassin (Mark Strong) has a brother. Unfortunately for him, he’s an English football hooligan (Sacha Baron Cohen) from the town of Grimsby.
