The closer we get to Batman v Superman, the more we realize just how much this film will introduce. So far we’re getting new versions of Batman and Lex Luthor, which I’ve been excited about since the beginning. Soon after, there was an announcement that characters like Wonder Woman, Aquaman, Flash, and Cyborg will also be making their onscreen debut. That’s something I’m also excited about because it makes sense considering the film’s subtitle, Dawn of Justice. Furthermore, three of those characters will only make a cameo, while Wonder Woman will have a small role. Then last month, it was revealed that Doomsday will be making an appearance as the big villain. The decision to introduce the character in this film and reveal him in the trailer disappointed many fans. However, I thought it wasn’t so much a bad move from a marketing perspective, plus it made sense. There’s no bigger physical threat to unite Batman, Superman, and Wonder Woman than Doomsday.
All these decisions from Warner Bros. are ones I’ve been fine with, because this film will be more than just Batman versus Superman. Its a film that’s the beginning of a DC Extended Universe. However, this latest rumor about a third villain is something I’m not okay with.
According to Latino Review, a third villain has been added to Batman v Superman. Joining Lex Luthor and Doomsday is… Bizzaro. The latest villain is said to help set up the events in Justice League: Part One (2017). Now take every rumor with a grain of salt, but this one could have a little more going for it. Another source has come forward to provide an indirect scoop to the rumor.
I have learned that BvS added a MAJOR set piece that was not in the script I know. Almost a 4th act.—

First, lets talk about the Bizzaro rumor. The character is a clone of Superman, who retains all of Supes’ abilities, but none of his moral obligations. He was a creation of Lex Luthor who, in the trailers, is also confirmed as creator Doomsday. Right there it would make sense for a possible introduction. My concern with Bizzaro isn’t the character, because I think he’s an interesting villain, especially for this universe. I’m concerned about the execution of another side-plot involving another villain, and how it might feel too forced within the overall story. I’ve been okay everything BvS intends on introducing, because of its 2 hour and 30 minute run time. Its plenty of time for all the events to play out. Also, I’ve always thought Doomsday would fight and survive this film. I think he’ll be too much of a match for our heroes at first, and will find away to be removed from Earth temporarily. But now, this film will have to handle a third villain presumably in its third act (or almost a 4th act as the tweet mentions). I’m worried this could be too much, and possibly end up being another Amazing Spider-Man 2. Its certainly possible to handle such a high amount of characters and set up future story lines, however its never been handled correctly in a comic book film up to this point.
Again take this rumor with a grain of salt. How do you feel about a third villain in Batman v Superman? Are you open to the idea, or is this film DOOMed (pun) with already having two villains.
