While Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice is the first Warner Bros. DC movie to be hitting this year, the follow-up in Suicide Squad has a lot of people talking. On paper, the villain-centric movie might actually look better than Batman v Superman. With a stellar cast-line-up and a director that is well-fitted for this specific material, Suicide Squad has been picking up some serious steam.
The last few weeks has seen a couple of new TV spots and even an extended clip for Zack Snyder’s upcoming Dawn of Justice released, and now we get our first look at some new Suicide Squad promo. Director David Ayer took to his twitter Sunday to reveal the first teaser poster for his film. The poster is an awesome, trippy vortex into Ayer’s world of super-villains. Along with that, his cast took to their various social media accounts to release their own character posters, which are in the same stylized way as the one he posted.
Ayer’s poster also confirms that we’ll be seeing a brand new trailer tomorrow night. As part of a DC special airing on The CW tomorrow, January 19th at 9 p.m. ET, we’ll be getting a new look at a number of things including Batman v Superman, Suicide Squad, and possibly even next year’s Wonder Woman.

In a day-and-age where we see spoiler-filled, jam-packed, and floating head posters (especially in comic book movies), these Suicide Squad posters are very unique and extremely refreshing. Although we’ll probably be seeing an official poster closer to its release date, I would be totally down with this being its final poster. It does exactly what a poster is suppose to, grabs your attentions and gets you interested in seeing the movie.
Suicide Squad has a August 5th, 2016 release date. Directed by David Ayer starring Will Smith, Jared Leto, Margot Robbie, Joel Kinnaman, Viola Davis, Jai Courtney, Cara Delevingne, Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje, Common, Scott Eastwood, and Ben Affleck.
