If you’re looking for any kind of reason to go see The Big Short, the following clips should be enough to get you to the theater. There’s no doubt that Star Wars is just owning December, there is no way around that. But after seeing The Force Awakens a couple handful of times, what else is there to see? One of those titles is Adam McKay’s financial crisis film The Big Short.
Focusing on the housing collapse of the early 2000s, the film stars Christian Bale, Steve Carell, Ryan Gosling and Brad Pitt in what looks like an incredibly exciting and telling story. And if you’re in the small group of people who just haven’t been appealed by the trailers so far (blastfamy), these following clips should no doubt get you excited at least a little bit:
I’ve pretty much been looking forward to this one from day one. Yeah of course it’s a bit strange hearing that comedy mastermind Adam McKay is doing this type of film, but look at the cast assembled. It’s ridiculous, by far the overall best of the year. But what gets me even more excited is that early reviews for the film are crushing, such as in Oscar worthy type. How can you not be looking forward to something like that?
Adam McKay’s The Big Short is released on December 21st, 2016.
