Get Ready to Party It up with Tina Fey & Amy Poehler in New Images for ‘Sisters’

Although its trailer is so-so, this movie doesn’t really need any kind of selling, all I have to say is that it stars Tina Fey and Amy Poehler. Whether it’s hosting the Golden Globes, rocking it on Saturday Night Live, or leading two of TV’s best comedies (30 RockParks and Recreation) over the last few years, it’s clear that this duo of all dynamic duo’s is one of the best in the business. So when two of the funniest women in comedy are attached to a project, it’s definitely going to grab your attention.

That’s where the comedy Sisters comes in. Directed by Jason Moore (Pitch Perfect), the movie stars Fey and Poehler as two distant sisters who come back home to clean out their rooms before the family home is sold. The kicker is that they decide to have one last ride and throw a giant house party with all their former classmates, which of course is just where it begins.

With the movie just a little over a month away, the studio has released a handful of new images to kick off its final marketing push. Check ’em out below:

I haven’t really been looking forward to Sisters as much as I hoped I would. The trailer wasn’t horrible or even bad, it was just okay. With Jason Moore in the chair and names like Fey and Poehler in the leads, I was expecting more for sure. But even though the trailer wasn’t as good as I thought it would be, I’m still holding out some hope because of those names. The partnership of Fey and Poehler has yet to disappointment, so here’s to hoping this is not it.

Sisters has a (unfortunate) December 18th, 2015 release date. Directed by Jason Moore starring Tina Fey, Amy Poehler, Maya Rudolph, Ike Barinholtz, John Leguizamo, Dianne Wiest, John Cena and James Brolin.
