(Female) ‘Ghostbusters’ Reboot Director has a Message for the Haters

The female centered Ghostbusters reboot has received a tremendous amount of hate. The worse part about it is that a majority of the hate comes from the franchise’s own fans. People seem to not like this new direction the reboot is going, as far as characters and gender. Furthermore, we’ve barely seen anything from the movie outside of a couple photos from the set.

Now, I’ll admit I’m guilty at times about prejudging a movie before evening watching it (i.e. Divergent, The Perfect Man), but some of the comments regarding this Ghostbusters reboot is pretty ridiculous.

Director Paul Feig feels the same way about some of the things that are being said about his movie. The director recently took to twitter (via. Collider) to retaliate against some of these haters. Keep in mind even though Feig is a professional director, a man can only take so much (just ask Josh Trank).

After it was all said and done, Feig sent one last tweet to everyone who supported him through this heated exchange on social media. You gotta love having a director who is so involved with his fans.

Ghostbusters stars Melissa McCarthy, Leslie Jones, Kristen Wiig, Kate McKinnon, Chris Hemsworth, with confirmed appearances from Bill Murray, Dan Akrroyd, and Ernie Hudson.

The film hits theaters on July 15th, 2016.
