This photo for The Conjuring 2 showing a priest blessing the set is both awesome and disturbing. Its also necessary when you have a director in James Wan (Furious 7) who’s not afraid to make being on set feel paranormal or macabre for the cast and crew.
The photo doesn’t reveal anything in regards to the story, but it does show a bit of authenticity. Details on the plot are unknown, but according to Collider the film’s subtitle The Enfield Poltergeist suggests it will involve a true story poltergeist reporting back in ’77 regarding two young sisters in a council house in England.
Lastly, a bit of excellent news as both Patrick Wilson and Vera Farmiga are reprising their roles from the first film, as real life paranormal investigators. Having them two and Wan back is all I need. They did a great job with the first film.
The Conjuring: The Enfield Poltergeist will open in theaters on June 10, 2016.
