Fly Away to Neverland with a Pair of New Featurettes & a Load of Clips for ‘Pan’

The last handful of years have seen the fairytale to live-action craze become much more prominent. Major studios are cracking open their vaults to give their fairytale properties a live-action telling, with the latest being Warner Bros.’ Pan. The Peter Pan origin story blockbuster looks like it could be a beautifully crafted telling of the classic tale, one that many fans have been waiting for.

As the film is now just a few weeks out, its marketing is now making some moves. The latest push comes via a number of clips and official b-roll footage, which give some cool new looks Joe Wright’s Pan.

For the most part, I’ve enjoyed everything I’ve seen of the film so far. The vibrant look looks really beautiful and I’m interested in seeing how the whole Peter Pan origin works out, especially since he’ll be taking this journey with his eventual nemesis Hook (can’t wait to see him lose that hand). It may not look like that ‘rush out and see it’ type of movie, but it being a Peter Pan movie that we’ve never really seen but always wanted makes it really appealing.

But on the other side, I’m a little bummed that so much footage from the movie has been released in its marketing. It may be just me, but it feels like something new for Pan is being released every week – trailers, posters, clips, etc. Other than the TV commercials that pop up here and there, I’ve tried my best to try and stay away from any kind of new footage that hits the web, which includes the content from above. I want as close to a full experience in the theater as possible, and hopefully its best moments are saved for that.

Pan lands on October 9th, 2015. Directed by Joe Wright starring Hugh Jackman, Garrett Hedlund, Rooney Mara, Amanda Seyfried, Cara Delevingne, and Levi Miller.
