Universal Pictures has just released a brand new trailer for Danny Boyle (director), Aaron Sorkin (writer), Michael Fassbender’s (lead) Steve Jobs. We’ve seen quite a bit of footage on the film so far, but none quite like what the following trailer consists of. It goes deeper into the narrative more than anything we’ve seen so far, and really puts Fassbender as Jobs in the spotlight; see what I’m talking about after the jump.
Not bad, right? It is just a trailer, but the movie looks really damn good. The story of Jobs and his ins-and-outs with Apple are well documented, but hopefully Steve Jobs will go even deeper into that specific situation, because it makes the film that much more intriguing. I do use Apple products and I know that at one point Jobs left then came back years later, but why? What happened on the inside that turned into this war between him and his own company? That’s the stuff I want to know, and hopefully Boyle, Sorkin, Fassbender, and others are able to deliver on that front.
Steve Jobs is released on October 9th, 2015. Directed by Danny Boyle starring Michael Fassbender, Kate Winslet, Seth Rogen, Jeff Daniels, Michael Stuhlbarg, and Katherine Waterston.
