Before Its Release This Friday, Watch Every Clip & the Official B-Roll Footage for ‘Black Mass’

With the Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF) happening over the last week or so, many titles have been getting pretty high praise by those lucky sob’s who were attendance, one of those being Scott Cooper’s Whitey Bulger biopic Black Mass. The film sees Johnny Depp take on one of the most notorious gangsters in U.S. history, Whitey Bulger.

Now the film will follow much more than just Bulger as a gangster, as Bulger became an informant for the FBI to help topple the other gangsters families in the Boston area. But until we get to all that hopefully sweet, sweet goodness, you can get just a slight tease into what to expect when it comes time for you to sit down and watch Black Mass. Take a look at a slew of new clips and its official b-roll footage below:

You know I’ll be straight, I wasn’t all that enthusiastic about Black Mass up until about a week ago, mainly because Johnny Depp just hasn’t been that appealing as of late. But then it debuted at TIFF late last week and man did I do a 180. Not only have reviews for the film been more positive than not, but the headline is that Johnny Depp is back to Johnny Depp of old, like possible Oscar nomination status. Now I’m not saying that it’s a guarantee that the film will be at least good, but it’s a pretty damn good sign, which now gets me pretty pumped up to check it out.

Black Mass hits theaters on September 18th, 2015. Directed by Scott Cooper starring Johnny Depp, Joel Edgerton, Benedict Cumberbatch, Dakota Johnson, Kevin Bacon, Jesse Plemons, Peter Sarsgaard, Corey Stoll, Juno Temple, and Adam Scott.
