Hit the Ground Running in 2 New Clips & BTS Footage for ‘Maze Runner: The Scorch Trials’

The second entry into the young adult book to movie franchise The Maze Runner is now just a little over a week away, and its marketing is beginning to heat up. So far, trailers for Maze Runner: The Scorch Trials have been pretty well received, but now Fox looks to give us much more looks into their pretty high looked forward to sci-fi/thriller.

Below you can take a look at a pair of brand new clips released from the film. Titled “You Came from WCKD” and “The Escape”, these clips look to be just the beginning of what The Scorch Trials will hopefully entail. Alongside the clips you can also check out some behind-the-scenes footage with its official b-roll footage, which gives us a great look into how this sequel was brought to life.

I’m one who is really looking forward to seeing what The Scorch Trials has. I am part of the group that surprisingly enjoyed The Maze Runner and the world building it did better than almost every other YA film out there, which got me very interested to see what comes next. And what comes next has been showcased very well for the sequel through trailers, clips, and more. Here’s to hoping this franchise follows more in the footsteps of The Hunger Games then say Twilight or The Divergent Series.

In this next chapter of the epic Maze Runner saga, Thomas (Dylan O’Brien) and his fellow Gladers face their greatest challenge yet: searching for clues about the mysterious and powerful organization known as WCKD. Their journey takes them to the Scorch, a desolate landscape filled with unimaginable obstacles. Teaming up with resistance fighters, the Gladers take on WCKD’s vastly superior forces and uncover its shocking plans for them all.

Maze Runner: The Scorch Trials opens September 18th, 2015. Directed by Wes Ball starring Dylan O’Brien, Kaya Scodelario, Thomas Brodie-Sangster, Ki Hong Lee, Nathalie Emmanuel, Rosa Salazar, Katherine McNamara, Aidan Gillen, Giancarlo Esposito, Lili Taylor, Barry Pepper, and Patricia Clarkson.
