If you’ve read the book series or been following the movie franchise, you know that The Hunger Games is going to end in some serious bloodshed come this November. The final movie is what these films have been leading up to, as it finally comes down to all out war.
The marketing for Mockingjay – Part 2 has definitely displayed that, as it’s being described as the “epic conclusion” to the franchise. I haven’t read the books, but I very well know what’s coming. And what’s coming is exactly what this new banner is all about, as it showcases Katniss and her band of rebels standing on a toppled President Snow statue with a destroyed Capitol in the background.
I’ll be honest, the new banner isn’t super eye-catching. Quite honestly, I’ll be going to see this movie opening night regardless of what kind of trailers or other marketing tools are released, but this image just feels to repetitive. We’ve seen Katniss in her blood red war suit and we’ve seen a broken down President Snow statue – I would’ve liked to see something new and fresh. Either way, this film is going to be straight bonkers (at least I hope it is) and I can’t wait to see it all go down.
