‘Lego Batman Movie’ Finds Its Joker in Zach Galifanakis

This upcoming Lego Batman movie is developing quite a fun voice cast. Zach Galifianakis is currently in final negotiations to voice Lego Joker. He’ll soon join Will Arnett (Batman) and Michael Cera (Robin) in a spin-off of last year’s The Lego Movie, and is set to be directed by Chris McKay.

I think Galifianakis is a great choice for voicing The Joker. He can be very funny and creepy at times. No word on any other of Batman’s villains appearing in the film. If there was any chance of Mr. Freeze making an appearance, then I’d be open to Arnold Schwarzenegger sort of reprising his role and voicing the character in this type of film. I think that’ll be a fun nod to that (unintentionally) funny portrayal of the character.

Phil Lord and Christopher Miller will produce, along with Dan Lin and Roy Lee. Plot details are very thing, but the film will acknowledge every era of Batman film making. From Adam West to perhaps Ben Affleck and certainly every version in between.

Are you liking this Lego Batman cast so far? Which other villains would you be open to seeing, and who would you see voicing?

The LEGO Batman Movie opens in theaters on February 10, 2017

  1. Honestly, reboots and spin-offs has gotten less appealing to me recently and I’m not a huge fan of the Batman franchise. But Lego Batman really made a huge impression on me last year so I’m really excited for this. 😀
