In Theaters This Week (8/13/15): ‘Straight Outta Compton’, ‘The Man From U.N.C.L.E.’ & ‘Underdogs’

Hey movie lovers! This is another one of those weekends where there is a little something for everyone with either new releases coming out or movies that are still in theaters that you should definitely check out! Releasing this week is the NWA biopic Straight Outta Compton, the spy action-comedy The Man From U.N.C.L.E. and the family film Underdogs. I’ll at least be seeing two of these films this weekend! Which one will you be seeing? Before you decide check out the synopsis’ and trailers below for each new release.

First Up:

Straight Outta Compton starring Corey Hawkins, Jason Mitchell and O’Shea Jackson Jr.. Directed by F. Gary Gray.

Synopsis (IMDB):

The group NWA emerges from the streets of Compton, California in the mid-1980s and revolutionizes Hip Hop culture with their music and tales about life in the hood.


The Man From U.N.C.L.E. starring Henry Cavill, Armie Hammer and Alicia Vikander. Directed by Guy Ritchie.

Synopsis (IMDB):

In the early 1960s, CIA agent Napoleon Solo and KGB operative Illya Kuryakin participate in a joint mission against a mysterious criminal organization, which is working to proliferate nuclear weapons.

Last Up:

Underdogs (U.S. Release) starring the voices of Matthew Morrison, Nicholas Hoult and Bella Thorne. Directed by  Juan José Campanella (original director).

Synopsis (IMDB):

Table-soccer figurines come to life to battle a bully who wants to destroy them.

Well there you go!
