‘Vacation’ Clips: Hit the Road with the Griswolds

Up to this point, the Vacation reboot/sequel hasn’t fully sold me. I’ve seen some hope through the trailers, but I just feel like it’s going to be typical comedy where most to all the good (funny) parts of the film will be prematurely released in those trailers instead of the theater.

I could end up being completely wrong and frankly, I hope I am because I always love a good comedy. But just as comedies do these days, there is just to much damn footage being released. That’s where this batch of seven, yes seven new clips come in. I just don’t get it… Don’t we go see comedies in the theaters to have a good time? Why would I then go see the film after the whole damn movie is released online beforehand? I personally don’t or haven’t watched any kind clip(s) in awhile so it doesn’t spoil anything for me, but it just bugs me. Why not save the film for when it’s released?

Anyway, you can check out the new clips below:

I doubt this will live up to the greatness of what the original was, but I’m crossing my fingers it’s at least a decent comedy. If not, whatever, my hopes obviously aren’t that high. What do you think?

Vacation opens in theaters on July 29th, 2015. Directed by John Francis Daley and Jonathan M. Goldstein starring Ed Helms, Christina Applegate, Leslie Mann, Chris Hemsworth, Skyler Gisondo, Steele Stebbins, Beverly D’Angelo, and Chevy Chase.
