Jesse Eisenberg & Kristen Stewart Are Locked & Loaded in the Saucy New ‘American Ultra’ Poster

If you have yet to hear about or see the American Ultra trailer, that’s incredibly unfortunate. The idea is so outrageously awesome that it’s not even fair, and what makes it even better is that we’ll see Jesse Eisenberg and Kristen Stewart (alongside others) re-team following their last great outing in Adventureland.

'American Ultra' PosterOnce I got the chance to watch the first trailer (I recommend the red band version), I was sold right away and it quickly became one of the top movies I was looking forward to in the next few months. Since then we’ve seen a few character posters and a number of images, but nothing has gotten me more excited (just like the trailer) then this brand new poster (to the right). It captures the spirit of the movie and Eisenberg and Stewart’s characters so well. From their stoner look to the trippy background poster, I don’t see how there’s anyway you can’t be excited for this one.

Over the years, Eisenberg has become of those actors who can do a number of roles and crush them, but up until then we haven’t really seen him in a serious action type role. American Ultra seems to be that very role and it looks like he’s having a ton of fun doing it, and doing it well. As for Kristen Stewart, she may have past movies where she is somewhat ‘stoned face’, but from the trailer she looks very open and just like Eisenberg, having fun with it. Following Camp X-RayStill Alice, and now this, could Stewart’s stock once again be on the rise?

It’s now just a month and although we’ve really seen very little on it so far, I’m totally fine with it. The one trailer is plenty to get me to want to see it as soon as possible, can’t you tell? It should be a very fun and entertaining movie to check out before delving into the more seriousness of Oscar season.

American Ultra opens August 21st, 2015. Directed by Nima Nourizadeh starring Jesse Eisenberg, Kristen Stewart, Topher Grace, Connie Britton, John Leguizamo, Walter Goggins, and Bill Pullman.
