Although the final chapter into these movies is still a number of months away, director Francis Lawrence has let it be known to start preparing yourself now for The Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part 2. With Lawrence calling it “the most emotional of the bunch, and I think it’s the most ­satisfying of the bunch”, there’s no doubt it should make for one entertaining finale.

Entertainment Weekly was pretty damn busy this morning. Not only did they release the first official images of Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice and a brand new image for Deadpool, but another new image for Mockingjay – Part 2. This time the image features Katniss Everdeen (Jennifer Lawrence) and Effie Trinket (Elizabeth Banks), which looks like they are preparing for the final battle, the fight that will be taken to the Capitol and President Snow. I’m digging the look, the Mockingjay has returned!

Director Francis Lawrence has said that “there is some serious girl power in this movie”, and he is definitely right. Alongside Lawrence and Banks, you’ll see Jena Malone (Johanna Mason), Natalie Dormer (Cressida), Gwendoline Christie (Commander Lyme), Meta Golding (Enobaria), Michelle Forbes (Lt. Jackson), and Patina Miller (Commander Paylor) suit up for battle, as well as names like Julianne Moore (President Alma Coin) and Willow Shields (Primrose Everdeen).

The caliber of these films have surpassed many and satisfied many to every fan of the books. For the past few years, they have become some of the most anticipated movies of the year and made a BUTT LOAD of money. I’m very excited to see how this franchise finishes up, it should be epic.

The Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part 2 hits theaters on November 20th, 2015.
