When we got our first glimpse at the Steve Jobs biopic that was written by Aaron Sorkin and directed by Danny Boyle, it gave us a slight look into the innovated imagination of Mr. Steve Jobs. Now a second trailer has been put out and unlike the first, it almost paints Jobs as the bad guy. Everyone from Seth Rogen to Jeff Daniels seems to hate the dude, but for me, that’s what makes it so good.
Set backstage at three iconic product launches and ending in 1998 with the unveiling of the iMac, Steve Jobs takes us behind the scenes of the digital revolution to paint an intimate portrait of the brilliant man at its epicenter.
Okay, so it may have been a little excessive that it felt so harsh towards Jobs, but Michael Fassbender man… His performance as Jobs looks un-freaking-believable. I know Christian Bale was suppose to be in the role, but I’m damn glad Fassbender ended up with it. Major credit is due to Sorkin and Boyle, but Fassbender is so damn good at creating the ‘one man against all’ type character. I don’t know much about what happened behind-the-scenes with Jobs and Apple, but I’m very much looking forward to finding out come later this year, especially when there’s a crew and cast like this one.
Steve Jobs is released on October 9th, 2015. Directed by Danny Boyle starring Michael Fassbender, Kate Winslet, Seth Rogen, and Jeff Daniels.
