So far we’ve seen promo images and behind-the-scene shots of Zack Snyder’s highly anticipated Man of Steel follow-up Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice, but today we get our first look at the actual film as its first official images have been released online, and man are they attractive.
They feature Ben Affleck as Bruce Wayne and Batman, Henry Cavill as Superman, Gal Gadot as Diana Prince and Wonder Woman, and we get our first look at Jesse Eisenberg as Lex Luthor. But that’s not all. One has Bruce and Diana sharing a dance while all dolled up, the best one has the titular heroes coming face-to-face, and another show Eisenberg’s head full of hair Luthor. The promo image we saw of Luthor from EW months ago showed him bald, so it’s safe to say that we’ll see Eisenberg’s Lex go through a transformation period throughout the film.
Entertainment Weekly always gives us fans that Comic-Con preview issue and why not choose possibly the biggest film that will be at SDCC 2015? With it just a week away, no better time to drop the issue to those looking forward to the event. Check out the new images and EW cover below:
One of the bigger mysteries surrounding Dawn of Justice is where Diana Prince fits into all of it. From these first images, it looks like her and Bruce Wayne could be getting a little friendly at some point, but don’t be surprised if we see her and Supes gets a little cozy as well.
As for the images, what a great first batch to release. They continue to build the anticipation for the show-down between the World’s Finest, as well as setting the stage for everything else going on around it. As I said above, SDCC is just a week away and Batman V Superman (and other DCCU properties) are going to make a huge splash. If DC doesn’t take full advantage of Marvel not being there, I’ll be incredibly disappointed. Stay tune for much, much more in the next week!
