Enough Already with This ‘X-Men: Days of Future Past’ Rogue Cut

Over the last several months I’ve been reading article after article… after article on how Fox is prepping to release the version of X-Men: Days of Future Past which features Rogue’s scenes. The studio has been teasing this cut like its some type of phenomenon or something, and I’m beyond annoyed of it!

Yes, Days of Future Past was a very good movie. Yes, we all would’ve loved to see more of Anna Paquin as Rogue. However, I’m one of those people who is over it. The movie is currently playing on cable, and I doubt this cut will make it any more better. Now I’m hearing that Fox will screen the extended edition at this year’s San Diego Comic Con for a few lucky fans in attendance.

Look, if you’re excited about seeing more Rogue in a film which you’ve probably seen more than once then good for you. What irritates me is that Fox is selling this like its the unedited version of the original Star Wars. Just release the damn thing already. We already know what it’ll be about.

Professor Xavier and Magneto must team up for one last mission to rescue Rogue from a holding cell in sentinel territory (with her powers having been copied for the robotic mutant-hunters). It’s a risky rescue, but rogue is needed to relieve a wounded Kitty Pryde, absorbing her time-phasing abilities and allowing Wolverine’s mission in the past to continue.

You’ll have to excuse my ranting, but I am fed up with this extensive build up over one scene. Am I the only one who feels this way?
