‘Terminator: Genisys’: Sarah Connor on the Run & Kyle Reese Gets a Wake Up Call

We’re two weeks away from finally returning to the Terminator franchise. Like this past weekend’s Jurassic World, the upcoming film titled Genisys will attempt to reboot the franchise in hopes of reviving fans excitement and demand for these films.

The marketing for this film has been questionable, from those highly criticized Entertainment Weekly covers featuring the main cast, to the recent trailers and posters revealing what seemed to be a major plot twist. If you’re still willing to give this film a chance, then do so knowing that all bets are off as far as speculation. As James Cameron recently stated, Genisys will seem all too familiar at first and then suddenly go way off to the unexpected.

I’m invested into watching this movie, so at this point the only thing this film’s marketing can do is somehow alter my expectations any more than it already has. This new exclusive clip from Collider doesn’t reveal much, except that Sarah Connor (Emilia Clarke) is on the run from her son, who isn’t shy about causing destruction. We also get a nice shot of Jai Courtney’s face as Kyle Reese, which I’m sure you’ll enjoy.

The second clip below is Sarah Connor revealing to Kyle Reese that everything he thought he knew about the past is wrong. Sarah is a total badass, having been working with the T-800 (Arnold) for sometime now. The clip ends with something that I’m sure will delight you in a fun way. Take a look.

One thing that isn’t questionable (for the most part) is the film’s cast, which includes Jason Clarke (John Connor),  Byung-hun LeeDayo Okeniyi, J.K. Simmons, and of course Arnold Schwarzenegger.

Terminator Genisys hits theaters on July 1st.

As of right now, what are your expectations for Terminator Genisys?
