A big questions about Ant-Man has always been how it does and/or how much it connects to the larger Marvel Cinematic Universe. We know that it is the official end to the MCU’s Phase Two but haven’t ever really expected to see to many references or ‘easter eggs’ in the film because it’s a brand new property. But could we have been completely off-base? These few new posters seem to say yes.
Although they may just be letting fans know that there is and will be a connection eventually, they could also be hinting that we could see a lot more MCU then we realized. Take a gander for yourself.
I actually like the posters quite a bit. I like how Marvel is going about its marketing for this new MCU entry, especially lately. It first started off by introducing us to this character and the world surrounding him, but lately has seen spots and poster focus more on it connecting to the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
Ant-Man has quickly become one of my most anticipated movies of the summer, it keeps looking better and better as it gets closer. This is definitely Marvel’s most out-of-the-box character so far, but I’ve been saying for a while that many, many people are going to be surprised by it. I think it’s going to be a big hit, leading into a new day for the MCU.
P.S., Captain America, Iron Man, and Thor aren’t in the movie, just a little marketing. But I will say, don’t be surprised if a familiar character or two pops up at some point in the movie.
