There are two movies coming out this weekend that I’ve really been looking forward to seeing in San Andreas starring Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson and Aloha starring Bradley Cooper and Emma Stone! Check out the synopsis’ and trailers below to see if you’re interested as well.

Synopsis (IMDB): 

In the aftermath of a massive earthquake in California, a rescue-chopper pilot makes a dangerous journey across the state in order to rescue his estranged daughter.

You can’t go wrong with a movie starring The Rock these days. He is so charismatic and has evolved into a really good actor over the years. At the very least you’ll get too see The Rock’s charm and probably the hottest mother/daughter duo ever in a movie in Gugino and Daddario.

Aloha starring Bradley Cooper, Emma Stone, Rachel McAdams and plenty more, directed by Cameron Crowe.

Synopsis (IMDB):

A celebrated military contractor returns to the site of his greatest career triumphs and re-connects with a long-ago love while unexpectedly falling for the hard-charging Air Force watchdog assigned to him.

Director Cameron Crowe, who directed beloved films such as Jerry Maguire and Almost Famous, hasn’t had a well-received movie in a while. I’m hoping this will be a return to glory for him. This movie has a stellar cast with the actors listed above as well as Bill Murray, John Krasinski, Danny McBride and Alec Baldwin. I personally am intrigued by this cast; hopefully the combination of that and Crowe directing will be a pleasant surprise of a movie.
