‘Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2’ Set Photos Show Bebop & Rocksteady Pre-Mutation

Even if you’re a life long Ninja Turtles fan and weren’t pleased with last year’s rebooted film, the upcoming sequel should give you plenty of reasons to be excited. Actor Stephen Amell will make his debut as street vigilante Casey Jones, and also joining the party will be iconic villains Bebop and Rocksteady.

The photo below shows a conversation taking place between the two gangsters in a cafe. Actor Gary Anthony Williams (left) stars as Bebop, while WWE star Sheamus (right) stars as his right hand man Rockysteady. According to Deadline, the two characters begin as “punk street thug members of a ragtag gang of misfits” before crossing paths with Shredder and get mutated into the humanoid beasts. It safe to assume both characters will be CGI, as is the case with the turtles and Splinter.

So much of the plot remains a mystery, but its still cool to see so many familiar characters make their debut. (Update: actress Brittany Ishibashi has been cast as the villainous Karai, daughter of Shredder. See below.) Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2 releases in theaters on June 3rd, 2016.
