First ‘Captain America: Civil War’ Concept Art Lands Online!

Just days following the release of Marvel’s tentpole movie Avengers: Age of Ultron, those who’ve sat down and watched it already seem to be looking forward to what’s next in the MCU. The first pieces of concept art for Captain America: Civil War have made its way online, and man do they live up to the hype!

The first piece is literally everything we need before stepping int the theater to watch Civil War, it’s the image we’ve all been waiting for since the movie was announced. As for the second piece, we get a look at what could be the Iron Man armor Robert Downey Jr. could be sporting. Armor that Marvel comic fans would love to hear is the so-called ‘Bleeding Edge’ armor.

As for the first image, some of the best moments of Age of Ultron were those few rigid scenes between Chris Evans’ Captain America and Robert Downey Jr.’s Iron Man. And before we all saw Age of Ultron, we weren’t sure what exactly would trigger Civil War, but it looks like the effects of Ultron’s terror will play a big part in the government forcing the registration act.

Are you as excited as I am right now? Whoever would’ve thought we’d be seeing these two heroes battle it out in an adaptation of one of Marvel’s most storied arcs? May 2016 can’t get here any damn faster.

What do you think of the first concept art pieces? Are you looking forward to seeing Marvel’s heroes go up against one another? Stay close as I’m sure more Civil War goodies will be coming our way.

Captain America: Civil War opens on May 6th, 2016. Directed by Joe and Anthony Russo starring Chris Evans, Robert Downey Jr., Scarlett Johansson, Jeremy Renner, Anthony Mackie, Elizabeth Olsen, Sebastian Stan, Frank Grillo, Chadwick Boseman, Daniel Brühl, and Martin Freeman.
