X-Men: Apocalypse Begins Filming, Nightcrawler Concept Revealed

As per usual with directors kicking off production on a major blockbuster film, Bryan Singer decided to celebrate by releasing a concept art of Nightcrawler (via. Instagram). The character will be played by Kodi Smit-McPhee from Dawn of the Planet of the Apes.

This kid will has some big shoes to fill after what Alan Cumming gave us as Nightcrawler in X2: X-Men United. That opening scene with The White House attack is probably Top 3 Best moments in comic book film, and one helluva introduction to the character. But if anyone can help the actor, its Bryan Singer and how he handled the character in the past. As for the concept art, its not actually Kodi Smit-McPhee in makeup, so any comparisons are void. As for the complaints I been reading about the emo hair, can you consider for a moment being a teen/young adult and having a mutation that makes you look like Nightcrawler? Yeah, the powers are cool but you may not be so outgoing.

X-Men: Apocalypse opens in theaters on May 27, 2016, and stars Michael Fassbender, Jennifer Lawrence, James McAvoy, Nicholas Hoult,Olivia Munn, Rose Byrne, Ben Hardy, Lucas Till, and Oscar Isaac.
