‘Ted 2’ Gets a Red Band Trailer & New Poster

While many really enjoyed Seth MacFarlane’s first feature film in Ted, it was just a bit underwhelming for me. It’s not that I didn’t like it or thought it was a stud pif concept, it just couldn’t stay on an even keel and keep up the consistent comedy. So have I ever needed a sequel? Not really, but that’s not going to stop one from happening with all the money the original made.

I was pretty happy with the debut trailer Ted 2 gave us, I got some really good laughs and they seem to be weaving the story in the right direction. I haven’t really been looking forward to this at all, not just because the first, but also because of Seth McFarlane’s follow-up A Million Ways to Die in the West. And even though I was pleasantly surprised by the first trailer, this brand new red band trailer basically takes that all away, unfortunately.

Official synopsis:

This time around, Ted is attempting to raise a child with his new wife, but in order to do so, he’s must prove that he’s a person.

For me, there were only a few decent laughs here and there, with the best laugh coming at the very end. When I see a red band trailer, I expect to be tormented by laughter, that’s what a red band trailer is for! Others might feel differently, and that is totally fine, but I won’t be walking into Ted 2 with any serious expectations.

A brand new poster has been released as well, featuring the thunder buddies of course.

'Ted 2' Poster
