The last week has new a bunch of new images released for some big movies. And you can see these new images for 20th Century Fox’s rebooted superhero franchise Fantastic Four, the return to the Terminator franchise with Terminator: Genisys, and Dwayne Johnson’s huge disaster movie San Andreas below.
Im actually looking forward to each of this quite a bit. Even though there’s some solid doubt behind Fantastic Four, the first trailer was a pleasant surprise and with each thing released it only looks better. I believe in the vision Josh Trank had for this Fantastic Four and hopefully it can live up to it, hopefully.
Terminator: Genisys has had that same doubt. From on set issues to the script, all word of mouth of course, a lot of true movie-goers seems to be iffy on Genisys and what it’s trying to do. But luckily for us, recent script readings have praised the movie, flipping the coin and having Terminator: Genisys be looked at in a different light. And just like Fantastic Four, I liked the first trailer and did exactly what it was suppose to, have me wanting more.
Even though 2012 is a freaking stench towards disaster movies and even though San Andreas could very well end up the same, I’m still biting. The trailers have been exploding and it stars The Rock. I say again, it stars The Rock! So… yeah, I’m in.
Check out these new images, with Four and Genisys particularly showing off some cool stuff.
The shot of The Thing is awesome, duh, showing Jamie Bell’s character in action. The Thing has been one of the best kept secrets for Fantastic Four, but following the debut image of the character and with the positive word of mouth on his looks, things are looking good on this front.
But personally, the best images are for Terminator. Being a big Game of Thrones fan, I’ve always loved Emilia Clarke, and I couldn’t have been happier when I heard she was cast as Sarah Connor. Nobody is going to come close to what Linda Hamilton was able to do with the character in T2, but Clarke has a great shot at coming pretty close. And from the images above, she’s looks like a bad bitch that you don’t want to mess with. Then there’s that image of Arnie. At first, it was a head-scratcher when the news broke that his T-800 character wold be aged, but from set images and the footage so far, it’s actually working. It adds yet another really cool element to this franchise to shake things up. Terminator: Genisys is shaping up to be one of this summer’s big hits and surprises.
Fantastic Four opens up August 7th, 2015. Terminator: Genisys is released on July 1st, 2015. San Andreas hits theaters on May 29th, 2015.
