Some weeks ago we got out first official look of Joseph Gordon-Levitt in the Edward Snowden biopic Snowden, which is being directed by Oliver Stone. You can see those images here. Now a new image has been released, this time featuring Shailene Woodley with JGL. Woodley is portraying Snowden’s girlfriend Lindsay Mills, take a look.

Lindsay Mills had no idea what Snowden was up to, until he identified himself as the one behind the massive leaks. Following that they spent some time apart, but Mills eventually traveled to Russia to be with Snowden where they are today. If you don’t know much about the story of Edward Snowden, I recommend taking a look at the documentary on Snowden, titled Citizenfour. I haven’t got a chance to sit down and watch it yet, but from everything I’ve it’s well worth the time, plus it just was the Oscar for Best Documentary so there’s that.

There’s no official synopsis for Snowden yet, but coming hot off the trails of the the real-life events and the documentary, it doesn’t really need one. It’s a little under eight months away so definitely stay tune for more, quite possibly even a trailer some time soon.
