Through the last number of weeks Fantastic Four is actually being looked at in a different light. Before the trailer was released, a lot of people were very iffy because of rumblings coming from the set. But the trailer hit and a lot of minds were changed, and since then from images to posters and more, it’s being looked at much differently now. So much so that it’s now one of the movies to look forward to this summer. It’s still months away, but that isn’t stopping Fox from getting it on movie-goers minds. Here’s a newly released featurette and images that give us our first great look at Jamie Bell’s The Thing!
Official synopsis:
Fantastic Four, a contemporary re-imagining of Marvel’s original and longest-running superhero team, centers on four young outsiders who teleport to an alternate and dangerous universe, which alters their physical form in shocking ways. Their lives irrevocably upended, the team must learn to harness their daunting new abilities and work together to save Earth from a former friend turned enemy.
I’ve actually started to become pretty excited about this movie. I very much like the cast and director that are involved, and thought the trailer was much better than what I was expecting. I liked the darker and more serious tone that the trailer displayed and am hoping the entire movie sticks with that. Although I dig the fun and quirkiness that most superhero movies have, it’s really cool and interesting to get that darker one. Here’s the hoping Fantastic Four will be that.
Here’s are the brand new images that come from Empire. They are all great looks, but the obvious standout is the one featuring The Thing. It’s our first real look at this incarnation of The Thing, and I’ve got to say, bravo. Unlike The Thing from the first set of movies, this version is a lot more… jagged, random, and mean looking. All the pieces are different shapes and sizes and he looks incredibly violent, which can actually be a really really good thing.

I don’t want to get ahead of myself, especially for a movie that has already twice before. But I’m really starting to get on the side of Josh Trank’s Fantastic Four, and hopefully it will stay that way.
Fantastic Four will be released on August 7th, 2015. Directed by Josh Trank starring Miles Teller, Kate Mara, Michael B. Jordan, Jamie Bell, Toby Kebbell, Reg E. Cathey, and Tim Blake Nelson.
