The Full Length Trailer for ‘Mission: Impossible – Rogue Nation’ Is Unreal; New Images Released

After the complete success of Brad Bird’s Mission: Impossible – Ghost Protocol, the franchise found a rebirth and it looked very bright. Tom Cruise was put back at the top of total action movie star with that insane stunt he pulled (he actually did) on the side of the world’s tallest building in Dubai, but it got us thinking, how much bigger could you actually go? Well, after yesterday’s ridiculously awesome teaser trailer  for the newly titled Mission: Impossible – Rogue Nation, we saw just how big director Christopher McQuarrie and star Tom Cruise are going. Now you can see the first full length trailer for Rogue Nation, and yes, it’s un-freaking-real.

Official synopsis:

Rogue Nation finds Hunt’s highly effective but destructive Impossible Mission Force (IMF) disbanded by vengeful Washington bureaucrats such as the CIA chief (played by Alec Baldwin). But Hunt pulls his team together (Jeremy Renner, Simon Pegg, Ving Rhames and newcomer Rebecca Ferguson) to battle the shadowy force known as “The Syndicate” and its elusive leader (Sean Harris).

I can’t describe how much I enjoyed this trailer. After Ghost Protocol, I was so excited to see what would be next for the franchise. I’m extremely happy to not just see Tom Cruise back, but Jeremy Renner, Simon Pegg, and the return of Ving Rhames!

We all know that Jeremy Renner is being groomed to take over the franchise, at some point, but I LOVE seeing Pegg back. He’s good enough to pull off some of those action stunts, but is the perfect comedic relief. And how can I not love seeing Rhames back to a sizable role in the franchise? The cool thing that this franchise has been doing lately is taking notes from the James Bond movies, and getting their own ‘Mission girls’. This time around is Rebecca Ferguson and from the shots in the trailer, she could be the best yet. Kicking total ass while looking great doing it.

A few new images have been released as well. Featuring all the big players, minus Simon Pegg. And yes, that is Cruise himself climbing the plane’s wing.

Let’s just say I’m damn glad Star wars: The Force Awakens is taking over December, because now I get to see Rogue Nation five months earlier!

Mission: Impossible – Rogue Nation hits theaters July 31st, 2015. Directed by Christopher McQuarrie starring Tom Cruise, Jeremy Renner, Simon Pegg, Ving Rhames, Rebecca Ferguson, Sean Harris, and Alec Baldwin.
