New ‘Fantastic Four’ Images with Miles Teller, Kate Mara & Michael B. Jordan

It may be one of this years most ‘worried’ movies, but Josh Trank’s Fantastic Four is still coming. The first trailer may have been a split down the middle, but there are many people who liked (or loved) what they saw from the trailer after hating on the project for so long. The idea of four fantastic people might not be as interesting and/or as ten years ago, but the young cast who are these four fantastic people are without a doubt the draw of the superhero flick. Check out these new images for Fantastic Four featuring a few members of that young, but talented cast.

When I said ‘worried’, I mean the controversy and doubt that has been revolving around the project from the beginning. It’s had its problems, that’s for sure, but Fantastic Four is for sure one of this summer’s best kept secrets. Coming from Josh Trank (Chronicle), Fantastic Four promises to be a completely different and new take of Marvel Comics first family – edgier and grittier with a harder sci-fi feel.

Thanks to Total Film their latest issue, here’s some brand new images featuring Miles Teller as Reed Richards (Mr. Fantastic), Kate Mara as Sue Storm (Invisible Woman), and Michael B. Jordan as Johnny Storm (Human Torch) giving us a sneak peak into Fantastic Four:

Surprisingly I’ve been nervous about this one from the beginning. But with Trank in the director’s chair and the outstanding young cast involved (oh Kate Mara…), I am still holding out that this Fantastic Four will kick major ass. I’m still pretty bugged by the suits and the extreme grounded take on this superhero team, but if it’s awesome then that all goes out the window. Plus, I’m still hoping that the suits seen above are just the beginning and that these heroes will (by the end of the movie) suit up in those team uni’s us fans would like to see. Now they don’t have to be the tight, spangly outfits from the comics or original movies, but a nice nod with a new variation would be cool and nice to see.

As for the movie, I thought the first trailer was good. It was much better looking than what I was imagining, one that got me very interested to see Trank’s incarnation of this story. It may not be very high on my list, but I am still very much looking forward to it and hoping it turns out better than those originals.

Fantastic Four will be released on August 7th, 2015. Directed by Josh Trank starring Miles Tellar, Kate Mara, Michael B. Jordan, Jamie Bell, Toby Kebbell, Reg E. Cathey, and Tim Blake Nelson.
