Hawkeyes Takes Aim & Captain America Takes the Lead in New ‘Age of Ultron’ Character Posters; New Trailer Hits Thursday

Today we got the character posters that round out the core team of Avengers that we’ve known since the beginning of Marvel’s Cinematic Universe. It’s unclear whether or not we will get character posters for new team members Quicksilver, Scarlet Witch, and Vision. But if we do or we don’t, we still got close-up looks at the characters we’ve fallen in love with for the past so man years. Here are the latest posters featuring Hawkeye and Captain America.

Most of you know, but for those of you who don’t, Marvel has released these new posters in a very cool way in allowing those actors who play the character release them to their fans via Twitter. Not everyone has a Twitter, but so far we’ve seen Robert Downey Jr., Mark Ruffalo, and Samuel L. Jackson release character posters for certain characters. Today, it was Jeremy Renner and Chris Evans turn.

Tenner posted the new Hawkeye poster with the following caption: “the official #Hawkeye character poster for @Avengers #AgeOfUltron #marvel”. With Evans posting the Captain America poster with this caption: “Fun way to reveal these, Marvel! Enjoy! Less than 2 months away! @Avengers #AgeOfUltron”. Here are the latest posters:

Yeah, these posters have been pretty simple, but I buy ANYTHING having to do with this movie. I will say a few things though, I’m kind of bummed that the Hawkeye poster doesn’t have him in his new digs like every other team member. Does that mean we’ll see him more in the suit from above, or the updated one we’ve been seeing? As for the Captain America one, yeah, badass. His new suit is by far the best out of the entire team and Chris Evans just rocks this character. I’m so damn excited for Age of Ultron.

Also, if you’ve been paying attention to the poster releases, when Robert Downey Jr. releases his Iron Man poster earlier last week, he dropped the news that a ‘big announcement’ will be coming later this week. Now while I don’t see this as a ‘big announcement’, a new trailer is set the be released this Thursday, with new footage this time. I’m still not buying that this is the ‘big announcement’, I have a feeling the trailer will feature something that we aren’t expecting (Vision footage? Spider-Man?!). The trailer could even come with some kind of casting news towards the new characters, like Spider-Man or even Captain Marvel. Head back here this Thursday as I will have the new trailer posted as soon as its released online.
