Hulk, Nick Fury, Thor & Black Widow Get Their Own ‘Age of Ultron’ Posters

Just a few days ago saw the official poster for Avengers: Age of Ultron released, which was followed by Robert Downey Jr. dropping the Iron Man character poster the next day vie Twitter. It led many to believe that Marvel is doing a pretty cool marketing strategy and having the actors who play the Avengers release their character posters to their fans. Which takes us to yesterday and today, where we now have characters posters for Hulk, Nick Fury, Thor, and Black Widow via Mark Ruffalo and Samuel L. Jackson.

While nobody’s poster release will be as big as RDJ’s as he teased some big Marvel announcement that is coming next week, it’s still pretty cool that the actors who have invested so much time into these characters get to release their character posters to the fans. Only thing is that not every actor has a Twitter account, so that’s why you’ll see Mr. Samuel L. Jackson release the mother-load of posters for Nick Fury, Thor, and Black Widow.

With the caption of “Here’s your first look at the official Hulk poster for @Avengers Age of Ultron!”, Mark Ruffalo released the Hulk character poster. As for Samuel L. Jackson, he had some fun with it. Releasing the Nick Fury poster with the caption “Feast your eye on the character poster for #NickFury in @Avengers #AgeOfUltron !”, the Thor poster with the caption “I brought some friends with me… Check out #Thor’s official character poster for @Avengers #AgeOfUltron !”, and the Black Widow poster with the caption “And the baddest woman on Earth #BlackWidow! Here’s a 1st look at her character poster for @Avengers #AgeOfUltron !”.

Yeah, they’re pretty cool. Check them out:

They’re all what we expected, especially after seeing the first of Iron Man. But out of them all, my favorite is the Black Widow one by far. Not only is Scarlett Johansson just a dream to look at it, but she’s a complete badass. And her character has gotten, most likely, the biggest upgrade from the last time we saw the team. Each hero has gotten a new Avengers suit thanks to Tony Stark, and while Widow’s is pretty damn cool looking, her weaponry has gotten the biggest upgrade. We’ll continue to see her two handy pistols and classic Widow’s Bite, but the Bite looks like it’ll have more bite, her utility belt looks to have more… utilities, and for the first time we will see the characters classic batons.

Other than Captain America, Widow’s character arc is my favorite. The character has grown an incredible amount over the span of three movies and has become one of the fan favorites thanks to Johansson kicking ass and the path Kevin Feige and Marvel put her on. I’m excited to see where the character, as well as the others, will go in Age of Ultron and how/where her story continues once Ultron’s age is over.

Avengers: Age of Ultron lands on May 1st, 2015. Directed by Joss Whedon starring Robert Downey Jr., Chris Evans, Chris Hemsworth, Mark Ruffalo, Scarlet Johansson, Jeremy Renner, Don Cheadle, Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Elizabeth Olsen, Paul Bettany, Cobie Smulders, Anthony Mackie, Haley Atwell, Idris Elba, Stellan Skarsgard, James Spader, and Samuel L. Jackson.
