'Crimson Peak' Teaser Trailer & Poster: Beware of Tom Hiddleston & Jessica Chastain's Haunted House

Guillermo del Toro is definitely one of the most riveting and visionary directors out there. With The Devil’s BackbonePan’s Labyrinth, the Hellboy movies, and Pacific Rim on his list, you can see why and how he’s been so successful. He’s able to bring a certain type of style and flare to the screen, something every movie fan looks forward to. And even though I love the type of movies he’s been a part of the last so many years, his specific style fits the horror genre so incredibly well and I’m so damn happy to see his next movie being just that. Here’s the first trailer and poster for Crimson Peak.

Official synopsis:

In the aftermath of a family tragedy, an aspiring author is torn between love for her childhood friend and the temptation of a mysterious outsider. Trying to escape the ghosts of her past, she is swept away to a house that breathes, bleeds…and remembers.

I have been waiting for this trailer for a while now and without a doubt, this trailer only solidified why I put this in my top ten most anticipated of this year. It not only has everything for a great teaser trailer, but just a great trailer in general. It gives us enough of the story and gives us great insight into why this is a horror movie without giving any of those creepy/scary moments away. And the best part? It’s directed by del Toro starring Tom Hiddleston, Mia Wasikowska, Jessica Chastain, and Charlie Hunnam? Uhm… YES.

Here’s the first teaser poster as well:
