New Images, TV Spots & Poster for 'Chappie'

I can admit that I haven’t been much of a fan of Neill Blomkamp and his movies, but I can also admit and praise the kind of work Blomkamp does and what he’s able to put on screen. His specific style to sci-fi has been a revelation, that’s for sure. And although I haven’t liked anything he’s done so far, I still look forward to his projects. His next is also in that sci-fi realm. It looks to bring the sci-fi action and emotion that Blomkamp seems to really bring, here’s a bunch of new stuff for Chappie.

Here’s a synopsis:

In the near future, crime is patrolled by an oppressive mechanized police force. When one police droid, Chappie, is stolen and given new programming, he becomes the first robot with the ability to think and feel for himself.

Here’s the new batch of images where you can see Hugh Jackman, Sigourney Weaver, Dev Patel, and others in their respective roles:

With Chappie hitting the first week of March, the marketing will definitely be on high the next few weeks. Just like the images above and continuing with these new TV spots:

As well as a new poster:

While the movie definitely looks pretty entertaining, I have yet to see anything that puts me over the top because of me not really liking Blomkamp’s past work. Maybe going in with low to moderate expectations will help me enjoy and like Chappie, because the artificial intelligence idea is always interesting.

Chappie will open on March 6th, 2015. Directed by Neill Blomkamp starring Hugh Jackman, Sigourney Weaver, Dev Patel, and Sharlto Cropley.
