Pixar's 'The Good Dinosaur' Gets a New Logo & Concept Art

It’s almost been a decade since the last time Pixar didn’t release a movie in a calendar year, until 2014 that is. That will happily change in 2015 as there are two movies planned from the minds of Pixar. Inside Out premieres in July while The Good Dinosaur, the one we’ll be looking at, is set for November.

As I was saying, almost ten years since Pixar hasn’t put out a movie, but that was only because The Good Dinosaur was ‘completely reimagined’, as well as changing the director. With the changes it went through, you can see why the studio had to push it back. Maybe the new logo and concept art that’s been released will remind us of the anticipation we all had.

Here’s the official synopsis:

The Good Dinosaur asks the generations-old question: What if the asteroid that forever changed life on Earth missed the planet completely and giant dinosaurs never became extinct?  In theaters November 25, 2015, the film is a humorous and exciting original story about Arlo, a lively Apatosaurus with a big heart. After a traumatic event unsettles Arlo’s family, he sets out on a remarkable journey, gaining an unlikely companion along the way – a human boy. The Good Dinosaur is an extraordinary journey of self-discovery full of thrilling adventure, hilarious characters and poignant heart.

It’s extremely nice and refreshing to see Pixar going back to their roots with original movies instead of sequels, for 2015 at least. They’ve always been at their best when they bring us new and different stories with each movie, so it’s safe to say that both The Good Dinosaur and Inside Out are being looked forward to by many.

The Good Dinosaur opens November 25th, 2015. Starring the voices of Bill Hader, Neil Patrick Harris, Frances McDormand, John Lithgow, and Judy Greer.
