Tom Hardy Decorates the Cover of Empire Magazine as Mad Max

Just a few months ago, if you were to tell me that I would walk away from 2014 and go into next year with Mad Max: Fury Road as the number four most anticipated movie on my 2015 list, I would have thought you were crazy. But it’s true! I am looking forward to Fury Road more than movies like Ant-Man, Mission: Impossible V, Spectre, Mockingjay – Part 2, Fantastic Four, Terminator: Genisys, and Furious 7. It’s now less than six months away, which means marketing has kicked into gear, starting with these magazine covers.

I think it’s safe to say that more than just a couple of people liked (really loved) the latest trailer for George Miller’s return to the Mad Max franchise with Fury Road. And although Mel Gibson was the absolute perfect choice decades ago, it’s time for the ‘fresh blood’, someone to take over and pick-up right where Gibson left off. While many may have been iffy when the casting was announced a few years back, there’s no doubt that people are completely on board with big, bad Tom Hardy taking this franchise into his hands.

There’s no question that May 2015 will be dominated by Avengers: Age of Ultron, but do not sleep on Fury Road as this movie has been moving up everyone’s 2015 lists with every move it makes, and rightfully so! Plus, every time some new image or poster drops for it, it just gives me an awesome excuse to watch the badass trailer again, and again, and again!

Mad Max: Fury Road is set to open on May 15th, 2015. Written and directed by George Miller starring Tom Hardy, Charlize Theron, Nicholas Hoult, Nathan Jones, Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, Zoe Kravitz, Riley Keough, and Josh Helman.
