Seth Macfarlane’s 2012 Ted went on to gross more than $500 million worldwide, making it one of the most successful R-rated comedies of all time. Now obviously, when a movie makes that kind of money, it means a sequel will be made. Ted the talking Teddy Bear (voiced by Seth MacFarlane himself) is set to return in 2015, and now we have our first look at Ted 2 with a shot of the thunder buddies for life.

There ins’t much known about the sequel, other than that Mark Wahlberg is back and this time with a new supporting cast. A supporting cast with names like Morgan Freeman, Liam Neeson, and Amanda Seyfried (replacing Mila Kunis).

As you can see, the thunder buddies are in for scuba diving this time around. What’s interesting is that Ted looks like he’ll be taking a shovel with him, could they be going after a long lost treasure?

I for one wasn’t a big fan of Ted, it for sure had it moments but I personally thought it was just kind of dumb. But on a positive note, McFarlane’s better work comes when he is just voicing characters (Family Guy, Ted), instead of actually acting like that dreadful A Million Ways to Die In the West. So maybe, just maybe Ted 2 can be some fun.

Ted 2 will hit theaters on June 26th, 2015. Directed by Seth MacFarlane starring Mark Wahlberg, Morgan Freeman, Liam Neeson, Amanda Seyfried, Patrick Warburton, Jessica Barth, Richard Schiff, and Seth MacFarlane as Ted.
