Inside Out Trailer #2 – Shows what’s really happening inside our heads

The last time that Disney/Pixar didn’t release an animated film in a single year was in 2005. Since that year, the studio has delivered some of its best films ever such as Wall-E, Up, and Toy Story 3. While no film was released this year, we shall look to the future with much enthusiasm as the studio has announced new projects and long awaited sequels to some of their earlier hits. One of those projects, Inside Out is set to hit theaters next June and has released a second trailer that made me even more excited to see this film.

Anyone who is married with children can appreciate how this trailer for Inside Out shows how exactly they communicate in a very funny way. Inside Out is based on a young girl named Riley (Kaitlyn Dias) who has to deal with moving away to San Francisco due to her father’s new job. The film focuses on the character’s emotions who are actual characters in the film and shows us how these characters struggle working together, which in turn makes the young girl Riley’s emotions struggles. Its very unique concept that when in the hands of a company like Pixar can be so much more than just an animated film.

At first, I only expected Inside Out to show us Riley’s emotions, but it looks like we’ll get to see her parents emotions which makes it all the more interesting. The parents will be voiced by Diane Lane and Kyle MacLachlan. They will join the characters: Joy (Amy Poehler), Disgust (Mindy Kaling), Fear (Bill Hader), Sadness (Phyllis Smith), and Anger (Lewis Black). The film is directed by Peter Docter (Monsters, Inc., Up), with writing credits to Academy Award winning writer Michael Arndt (Toy Story 3).

Inside Out opens in U.S. theaters on June 19th, 2015
