There’s no doubt that one of the most important parts of Superman is Lois Lane. There relationship has always been a staple in every short story, comic, animated movie, and live-action. Man of Steel definitely sparked something between Supes and Lane and will undoubtedly continue through this DC Universe. It’ll just be interesting to see how far that relationship actually gets, and these images might give us a pretty good idea.

A good chunk of Batman V Superman just finished filming in Detroit, where a lot of set images/videos that leaked were heavy on Bruce Wayne. That may be because it’s Ben Affleck as Batman and he’s one of the most iconic superheroes out there, or that’s where Affleck filmed most of his scenes – we obviously will never know which one.

Zack Snyder is now done in Detroit and moved his crew to another major city to act as Metropolis, Chicago. Just a few days ago saw a social media user take to his profile and post a picture showing his downtown office building turned into the Daily Planet, which lead me to believe that more set images would follow. Although I was right, I didn’t think these new images would be pretty significant to where fanboys across the world are geeking out.

Thanks to Just Jared, we now get a great look at Henry Cavill sporting the new, more vibrant Superman suit alongside co-star Amy Adams. All I can think of when I look at these is, ‘That’s Superman!’ Cavill is literally Supes, there isn’t any other actor in the world who fits Kal-El better than that guy, he freaking rocks it. We don’t see much of Adams as Lois Lane, but she plays a significant part in what these images or showing.

From what I can see in these images, other than Cavill looking insanely ripped, it looks like Snyder’s story might feature the love story between Superman and Lane. Not only does it looks like Supes is taking Lane flying with him, but it looks like they share a kiss before take off. From all the rumors that ‘Superman protests’ could be going on in the film because of what took place in Man of Steel, it could be quite possible that Lois Lane is the only one still believing in Superman and she is the only one he can go to, sparking that relationship even more. It could also just be part of the story and the evolution of these characters. And it could really be nothing as I could be completely reaching by now, I mean it’s Batman V Superman!

Just like right before the screen when black in Man of Steel, the relationship between these two is strong and can only get stronger. Lane has always been one to stick by Supes side through anything. He will definitely be needing it as he’s going to have the people of Metropolis and beyond hating on him, as well as the big bad Bat coming for him!
