Batman V Superman is well into shooting as I’m sure you’ve seen leaked set photos and poor quality fan videos hit the web. The March 25, 2016 release date is still a year and a half away, so we’re about six months away from even a teaser trailer right? Well that may not be the case.
Batman-on-film is claiming that “the teaser will be revealed this Fall along with a November or December film release.” Now to me this seems a little too soon for even a teaser trailer, but that isn’t the case with Warner Bros.
So which film could this teaser trailer be attached to? The Hobbit: Battle of the Five Armies? Interstellar? Most movie sites believe that it’ll be the former, but lets not forget that Christopher Nolan and Warner Bros. are in good relations, and Nolan’s name itself could draw a wider audience.
The report also claims that the teaser trailer will be “Batman Heavy”, which is something I wouldn’t mind for several reasons (sorry Superman fans). One, Ben Affleck is hot off his latest film Gone Girl, also a heavy dose of Affleck’s Batman should ease the worrisome fans out there, and also Batman is recently a more popular character thanks to the Nolan films. This will show audiences that BvS will feature a much different Batman; who will of course be a feature character in what is still Superman’s film.
There’s still no word on how much footage will be shown in the teaser, but with Affleck filming hug portion of his scenes I’m sure we’ll get enough to ease the painful wait.
What do you think, too soon for a trailer? What would you like to see in the teaser?
Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice will be in theaters on March 25, 2016.
