A Whole Bunch of New Character Posters & Banners for 'The Battle of the Five Armies' Have Arrived

'The Battle of the Five Armies' LogoThe final chapter in Middle-Earth saga is coming to a close this December with The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies. For some characters, their road ends here as others are just beginning and continue on through The Lord of the Rings trilogy. No matter what the case, there’s no doubt each character is as important as the next in what looks to be a movie of all out war. Here are some of those characters highlighted in their own posters and banners to go along with those that came out earlier this week.

Below you can see Martin Freeman as Bilbo, Luke Evans as Bard, Evangeline Lilly as Tauriel, Ian McKellen as Gandalf, Cate Blanchett as Galadriel, Richard Armitage as Thorin, Lee Pace as Thranduil, and Manu Bennett as Azog the White Orc.

I’ve said it before, I’m not the biggest fan of Middle-Earth. It’s a fun world to visit, but it’s just never caught my eye like it has everyone else. With that being said, all of these character posters and banners released over the last week are pretty awesome. They seem to define each character and their specific story almost perfectly, creating the world of The Battle of the Five Armies months before it even comes out.

I don’t know if I’ve said this in pasts posts, but isn’t Evangeline Lilly the best looking elf you’ve ever seen? Not to mention she kicks complete and major ass.

The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies opens on December 17th, 2014. Directed by Peter Jackson starring Martin Freeman, Luke Evans, Richard Armitage, Evangeline Lilly, Orlando Bloom, Lee Pace, Ian McKellen, Cate Blanchett, Manu Bennett, Hugo Weaving, Christopher Lee, and Benedict Cumberbatch as the voice of Smaug.
