From the first word I heard about Interstellar, it was instantly moved to the top of my 2014 list. Anything that Christopher Nolan does is a buy for me, plus it being a huge space adventure with Matthew McConaughey and that incredible cat around him only makes it better. We’re inching closer and closer each day and even though we are all somewhat in the dark about the film, here’s a bunch of new stuff on the new Nolan flick.
The first bit of news is that the close to three hour movie, which is Nolan’s longest to date, has more than a hour of actual IMAX footage, which is also Nolan’s longest to date.
The filmmaker also talked with Entertainment Weekly about his experience on Interstellar, which also has to do with the IMAX news above:
“This is the first film I have made where the actual experience of the film is paramount to the audience. You would think that’s the case with Batman movies but it’s not; they’re more dependent on the reaction of characters on screen. Interstellar is different. It harkens back to the direct experience films of 2001, where you’re not just experiencing it through the characters, you are lost in it.”
There has also been a bunch of new images released, check them out:
As well as some new International TV Spots. Now I must admit, I can’t say whether or not there is new footage or not because I have decided to stop watching anything new that comes out on the movie. Sure shouldn’t stop you though!
I can’t freaking wait for this movie.
Interstellar will open in select IMAX theaters on November 5th, 2014 and everywhere on November 7th, 2014. Directed by Christopher Nolan starring Matthew McConaughey, Anne Hathaway, Jessica Chastain, Michael Caine, Casey Affleck, Topher Grace, Wes Bentley, John Lithgow, Collette Wolfe, Ellen Burstyn, David Gyasi, Bill Irwin, and David Oyelowo.
