Despite never really being ‘together’ in reality, Bradley Cooper and Jennifer Lawrence seem to be very comfortable on screen together as their star power rises. Having co-starred in Silver Linings Playbook and American Hustle, both incredible movies, they are now back at it in Serena, a period drama about a married couple who become King and Queen in the lumber industry in the 1920s/30s. Here’s a better look.

Official synopsis:

Based on the novel by Ron Rash, Serena chronicles the rise to success of George and Serena Pemberton, who move to North Carolina from Boston and ruthlessly build up a powerful timber empire.

From the trailer we could see that these characters were much more than just business partners, but life partners as well (as we would expect). And in this new clip, Mr. Pemberton lays down the law for his workers.

In these new images, we can see Cooper and Lawrence as George and Serena Pemberton. As well as Sean Harris as Campbell, David Dencik as Buchanan, and Rhys Ifans as Galloway.

With any other cast members I don’t think I’d be into this movie very much, but the fact that it is Cooper and Lawrence teaming up again makes me buy this so hard. I know that them alone will be enough reason to buy a ticket. And with a great cast assembled around them and an interesting story that can go either way, Serena should make for some good entertainment.
