Other than Christopher Nolan’s Interstellar, David Ayer’s Fury is very, very high on my list for the fall of 2014. It’s actually on my list for Oscar contenders, in multiple categories, so let’s just say I’m pretty damn excited for it. Ayer is known for creating dark and extremely gritty films. From all we’ve seen on the film so far, it looks to be exactly that. A new featurette and poster have now hit, getting me that much more excited.
If you don’t already know, here’s an official synopsis:
April, 1945. As the Allies make their final push in the European Theatre, a battle-hardened army sergeant named Wardaddy commands a Sherman tank and her five-man crew on a deadly mission behind enemy lines. Out-numbered, out-gunned, and with a rookie soldier thrust into their platoon, Wardaddy and his men face overwhelming odds in their heroic attempts to strike at the heart of Nazi Germany.
As well as a new poster with the crew that calls their tank home:
Fury opens on November 14th, 2014. Directed by David Ayer starring Brad Pitt, Shia LaBeouf, Jon Bernthal, Logan Lerman, Michael Pena, Scott Eastwood, Xavier Samuel, Jason Isaacs, Brad William Henke, and Eugenia Kuzmina.
